Inquire + BetterUp

Thank you!
Thank you so much for asking us to bid on this project. We love the work BetterUp is doing and deeply believe in the value of coaching. We also love the brand you have established and would be very pleased to contribute to it.

Producer Background
I have worked as a story producer and director on factual documentary and marketing projects for nearly 20 years and strive to be an even-keeled and efficient project manager. I have also had stints as a Creative Director with wellness content startups like Conscious Good and PopExpert; and was a producer and creative director of 3 series for the EdTech startup founded in partnership with the Gates Foundation and PBS, Teachers TV.
All that to say, I like storytelling that does good, have a strong grasp of health, wellness, and education concepts, and a track record of creating content that moves people to action. My filmography can be seen here
In terms of remote production, early in the pandemic, I created a guide on best practices that was shared widely following a presentation I gave through the Video Consortium about remote production. Remote shooting can be stressful but it doesn't have to be. I have learned how to lower the temperature with talent around setup and any complications. Currently, I am producing a sponsored (but very low budget) web series that is all done remotely. I have learned ALOT through that project and am restructuring things greatly with new best practices as we head into our second season.
On the post side of things, I have a great roster of assistant editors, story editors, motion graphic artists, colorists, and sound designers. Many of whom I have worked with for years and they provide great service and value.
If we would like to add physical production, I have great resources around the country and world.
This is the type of project I love to do and would enjoy collaborating with you on it!

Objective
Provide production services to augment BetterUp's internal team including creative collaboration, talent coordination, live direction, full post-production, and post-supervision—making the production as turn-key as possible. The initial target is to create 6, 2-3 minute segments, from a single Zoom-like session with a BetterUp mental health expert. Long-term target is to create a library of ~100 segments, featuring 15 mental health experts.

Assumptions
· Client will identify, and provide contacts for, all experts
· Client conducts interviews
· Client will provide creative and script
· Client will provide existing motion graphics to build from
· Interviewer will be on-camera talent in the finished segment
· All recordings will happen remotely, using a third-party recording software like Riverside, provided by client.
· Production will offer to supplement talents home setup for critical improvements.
· Producer will be present on all productions and assist with story
· Delivery will be in HD
· All estimates are premised on 1 talent providing 6 segments

Estimate overview
Below you will find an estimate summary and link for both the pilot and larger production. These are not fixed bids but are meant to further the conversation. We run transparent projects and like to serve as a partner that can help maximize the impact of your budget.
On both projects, we tried to provide adequate labor to execute and cover all needs. As we scale beyond the pilot, if we are to ensure a compressed production timeline, we can find savings by moving labor over to a weekly versus an hourly. Some costs from the pilot, like graphic creation, can also carry forward to the larger project and bring some savings.
In both budgets, we included a small budget to augment the talent's recording technology, if needed.
